Las Iguanas was over fifteen years in the making. Originally planned in the mid-2000s and halted by the financial crisis, the course was resurrected in 2023 under Nicklaus Design and finally opened in November 2025 — and the wait was worth every year. The layout integrates a protected natural reserve where native iguanas shelter in caves and wetlands, weaving golf and Caribbean ecology together in a way no other course in the region attempts.

Three holes — the 12th, 13th, and 14th — play directly along the rocky Caribbean shoreline. The par-three 13th is already drawing comparisons to the great ocean par-threes of the world. The keyword space is wide open. The golfers who know, know.
